Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 Kit: 200W Dual 18650 IP68 Box Mod

The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 is GeekVape’s current flagship Legend: a 200W box mod running two 18650 batteries, with the AS Chip 4.0 and 0.01-second firing, a 1.08-inch colour screen with adjustable light strips, five working modes, an A-Lock switch and full IP68 tri-proofing against water, dust and knocks. The UK kit pairs it with a 2ml Geekvape Z sub-ohm tank and two Z XM mesh coils.

It’s a direct-to-lung kit for shortfills and cloud vaping. Batteries aren’t included, so budget for two flat-top 18650s. Which Tanks and Coils Fit the Aegis Legend 5?

The Legend 5 has a standard 510 connection, so most sub-ohm tanks screw on, but Geekvape’s own Z tanks are the natural match.

The coils for the tank in the box are Geekvape Z XM coils: Z0.15 XM (70–85W), Z0.2 XM (70–80W) and Z0.4 XM (50–60W). GeekVape says any tank that takes Z coils takes these Boost versions, which last about twice as long as the previous generation, and the original Geekvape Z coils fit too.

Want a spare or different tank? GeekVape also sells the Legend 5 with the Geekvape Z Sub-Ohm Tank 5, which has a push-open cap and top-fill chimney. The Geekvape Z Sub-Ohm SE tank adds a child-safety lock, and the Geekvape Z Fli tank has a flip-top cap. All three take Z XM coils.

Will not fit: Geekvape B Series coils – those belong to the Aegis Hero cartridge and the Z Nano tanks, not the Z sub-ohm tanks.

Getting Started with the Aegis Legend 5

1. Fit two matched, fully charged 18650s with flat tops – GeekVape warns that button-top cells can stop the battery door closing.
2. Fill the tank through the top, leave a small air gap, and let a new coil soak for 3–5 minutes.
3. Switch on and pick a mode. Smart sets the power from the coil; Normal balances flavour and battery; Eco saves charge; Custom gives you full manual control; TC holds a set temperature.
4. Start near the bottom of the coil’s range and raise it a few watts at a time.
5. Slide the A-Lock on before the mod goes in a pocket or tool bag.

Aegis Legend 5 Batteries and Charging

The Legend 5 runs on two removable 18650 cells. It will charge them in the mod over Type-C, but the better habit is an external charger such as the Nitecore i2 charger, with a second pair charging while you vape. Use two high-drain cells bought and used together – the Molicel P28A 18650 battery is a good choice – and never mix old with new. How far a pair goes depends on your wattage: Eco trims power to suit the coil, while running a Z0.15 XM coil near 80W all day will have you swapping cells well before bedtime.

Light Strips and Screen

The Legend 5 adds adjustable light effects around the 1.08-inch screen, plus a brightness setting, so you can have it glow or keep it dark. The screen shows mode, wattage, coil resistance and a puff count at a glance, and the menu lets you switch mode, light, puffs and screen settings without guesswork.

Best E-Liquids for the Aegis Legend 5
