VOOPOO PnP VM3 Coil 0.45 Ohm: Half-DL Mesh, Pre-Fitted in the Drag H40

The VOOPOO PnP VM3 coil is a 0.45Ω single-mesh coil that sits between MTL and full lung vaping – VOOPOO calls it half-DL. It’s the coil that comes pre-installed in the Drag H40, and we sell it in packs of five.

It’s also one of the most widely compatible PnP coils: VOOPOO lists it for the Vinci family including the Vinci Air, and it fits the tighter PnP MTL Pod too. Below, we untangle VOOPOO’s two wattage figures, list the pods it fits and compare it with the TW30 that shares the H40 box.

VM3 Wattage: 25–32W or 25–35W?

VOOPOO prints two figures. Most of its pages, and the coil itself, say 25–35W; the Drag H40, Drag S and Drag X tables say 25–32W. Treat 32W as the comfortable top and 35W as the limit.

Which Pods and Devices Take the VM3?

VOOPOO’s applicable-products list for the VM3 is one of the longest in the range: Vinci, Vinci R, Vinci X, Vinci Air, Drag S, Drag X, Navi and PnP 22. It also appears on the Drag H40, Argus GT and V.Suit tables.

The VM3 is the coil fitted in the VOOPOO Drag H40 PnP 2 Vape Kit out of the box, so it’s the natural replacement for anyone with the H40’s PnP Pod 2. VOOPOO also lists it for the Drag S and Drag X, which use the VOOPOO PnP Pod, and it’s inside the 0.3Ω-and-above range of the PnP MTL Pod.

It’s one of only a handful of PnP coils VOOPOO lists for the Vinci Air, so it fits the Vinci Air pods, and it’s on the Vinci and Vinci R list as well, so it goes in the Vinci replacement pods.

Will not fit: PnP X cartridges or the Drag S2 and Drag X2, which need PnP X coils.

How to Fit and Prime a PnP VM3 Coil

1. Slide the pod off the device and ease out the old VM3.
2. Drop e-liquid into the centre of the new coil until the cotton looks dark, then add a drop to each side port.
3. Push it into the pod firmly and evenly.
4. Fill, close and leave five minutes before firing.
5. In RBA or wattage mode start at 25W; on the Drag H40, SMART mode will pick a starting power for you.

How Long Does a PnP VM3 Coil Last?

VOOPOO doesn’t publish one for the VM3. At 25–32W it sits between the long-lived MTL coils and the thirsty DL ones, and most of our customers get around a week to ten days per coil. Sweet liquids shorten that; so does chain-vaping at 35W. When the flavour flattens, it’s time.

Both suit the Drag H40’s 40W ceiling. The PnP TW30 is a touch airier; the VM3 is the easier all-rounder.

Best E-Liquids for the PnP VM3

VOOPOO’s guidance differs between pages – its coil tables allow stronger liquid than its Vinci Air page, which suggests 10mg or lower.
