SMOK RPM Coils: 0.3 MTL Mesh, 0.4 Mesh, 0.6 Triple, 1.0 SC and 1.2 Quartz
SMOK RPM coils are the original RPM-series coils, five to a pack, for the RPM pod of a long list of SMOK kits – from the RPM40 and Fetch Pro to the Nord 2, RPM80 and Nord 4. We list five of them, from the 0.3Ω MTL Mesh to the 1.2Ω Quartz.
Two things catch people out. RPM, RPM 2 and RPM 3 are separate coil families that don’t swap. And several SMOK kits come with two pods: RPM coils go in the one marked RPM. The table below sets out which coil does what.

RPM Coil Wattage by Resistance
Wattages from SMOK’s coil tables, which give a single best figure for most RPM coils rather than a range. SMOK also makes an RPM DC 0.8Ω MTL (16W) and an RPM RBA, which we don’t list.

Which Kits Take SMOK RPM Coils?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists RPM coils for the RPM40 (in its RPM standard pod), Fetch Pro (Fetch Pro RPM pod), Fetch Mini, RPM80 and RPM80 Pro, RPM Lite, Nord 2, Nord 50W, Pozz X, RPM 4, Morph Pod-40 and Stick R22. The Nord 4, Nord X, IPX80, Thallo and Thallo S, RPM 2 and RPM 2S, SCAR-P3 and SCAR-P5 take them too, in their RPM pods.
From our range, the SMOK RPM40 replacement pod is the RPM40’s RPM standard pod and the SMOK Fetch Pro RPM pods are the Fetch Pro’s RPM pod: every coil on this page fits both. SMOK says the Fetch Pro RPM pod takes all RPM40 coils.
Will not fit: the SMOK RPM Nord pods for the RPM40, which look similar but take SMOK Nord coils, or any RPM 2 or RPM 5 pod – those need SMOK RPM 2 coils or SMOK RPM 3 coils.
How to Fit and Prime an RPM Coil
- Pull the RPM pod out of the device and remove the old coil from the bottom.
- Wet the cotton through each wicking hole with two or three drops of e-liquid.
- Fit the new coil firmly into the pod.
- Open the rubber plug, fill slowly, close it firmly and give the coil a few minutes to soak.
- Start low: about 10W for the 0.3Ω MTL Mesh or 1.2Ω Quartz, and 20W for the 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω.
How Long Does an RPM Coil Last?
SMOK gives no figure. The low-power coils – the 1.2Ω Quartz, 1.0Ω SC and 0.3Ω MTL Mesh – generally outlast the 25W coils because they do less work. Sweet e-liquids shorten any coil. Change it at the first dry or bitter hit.
RPM Coil Troubleshooting

Best E-Liquids for RPM Coils
On the 1.2Ω Quartz, 1.0Ω SC or 0.3Ω MTL Mesh, use nic salts at 10mg or 20mg, or a 50/50 10ml e-liquid. On the 0.4Ω Mesh or 0.6Ω Triple, use a higher-VG freebase at 3mg or 6mg: a shortfill e-liquid topped up with a nicotine shot works well.
