SMOK RPM 2 Coils: 0.16 Mesh, 0.25 DC and 0.6 DC MTL
SMOK RPM 2 coils are the second-generation RPM coil, five to a pack, and SMOK makes them in three resistances: the RPM 2 Mesh 0.16Ω, the RPM 2 DC 0.25Ω and the RPM 2 DC 0.6Ω MTL. They go into the RPM 2 pod of SMOK’s larger pod mods – the Nord 4, Nord X, IPX80, Thallo, G-Priv pod kit and the RPM 2 itself.
RPM 2 is not simply a newer RPM: the two families use different pods. An RPM 2 coil won’t go into an RPM40 or Fetch Pro, and an RPM coil won’t go into an RPM 2 pod.

RPM 2 Coil Wattage by Resistance
Wattages from SMOK’s IPX80 and Nord 4 coil cards. SMOK lists the 0.25Ω DC but prints no wattage for it, so we don’t guess.

What Does the RPM 2 Coil Fit?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists RPM 2 coils for the RPM 2 pod of eight kits: the G-Priv pod kit and G-Priv Pro, IPX80, Nord 4, Thallo and Thallo S, Nord X, RPM 2 and RPM 2S, SCAR-P3 and SCAR-P5.
We don’t sell an RPM 2-pod device. For RPM40, Fetch Pro or Nord 2 owners, the right coil is in our SMOK RPM coils, and the SMOK Fetch Pro RPM pod takes those, not RPM 2.
Will not fit: the RPM40, Fetch Pro, Nord 2, RPM 4, RPM80, Alike, Pozz X or Fetch Mini – all of those take original RPM coils. The RPM 5 uses SMOK RPM 3 coils.
How to Fit and Prime an RPM 2 Coil
- Pull the RPM 2 pod out of the device and ease the old coil out of the bottom.
- Wet the cotton through each wicking hole with two or three drops of e-liquid.
- Press the new coil in until the rubber seal sits flush with the pod base.
- Open the rubber plug, fill slowly, close it firmly and give it a few minutes to soak.
- Start the Mesh 0.16Ω at about 25W or the DC 0.6Ω at about 12W, then work up.
How Long Does an RPM 2 Coil Last?
SMOK gives no figure. The DC 0.6Ω MTL on nic salts outlasts the Mesh 0.16Ω at 40W because it does less work. Replace either at the first dry or bitter hit.
RPM 2 Coil Troubleshooting

Best E-Liquids for RPM 2 Coils
On the Mesh 0.16Ω and DC 0.25Ω, use a high-VG freebase at 3mg or 6mg: a shortfill e-liquid topped up with a nicotine shot is the usual choice. On the DC 0.6Ω MTL, nic salts at 10mg or 20mg, or a 50/50 10ml e-liquid.
