SMOK RPM Nord Pod: The RPM40 Pod That Takes Nord Coils
The SMOK RPM Nord pod is one of the two pods SMOK makes for the RPM40 kit: the one that takes Nord coils. It comes three to a pack with no coil included, and SMOK marks it NORD on the rubber fill plug so you can tell it from the RPM40’s other pod, the SMOK RPM standard pod, which takes RPM coils.
Despite the name, it is not a pod for the SMOK Nord kit. SMOK lists it for the RPM40 only, and the original Nord has its own SMOK Nord replacement pods. Below: the Nord coils it takes, how to fill it, and a table that matches each SMOK kit to its pods.

Which Device Does the RPM Nord Pod Fit?
SMOK lists it for one kit: the RPM40.
The RPM40 is designed to run two coil families. Its RPM standard pod takes RPM coils; this RPM Nord pod takes Nord coils, so RPM40 owners with a stock of Nord coils can keep using them. SMOK tells the two apart by the text on the rubber plug, RPM or NORD, and by the plug colour. We don’t sell the RPM40 device itself, so these pods are for existing owners.
Will not fit: the SMOK Nord, Nord 2, Nord 4, Fetch Pro or any other SMOK kit. SMOK doesn’t list the RPM Nord pod for them, even the ones that also use Nord coils.
How to Fill the RPM Nord Pod
- Fit a Nord coil first – the pod comes without one.
- Pull out the pod and pull the rubber plug out of the fill slot.
- Add e-liquid through the slot slowly.
- Press the plug back firmly.
- SMOK’s instruction: don’t vape straight after filling. Let it stand for two to three minutes so the cotton is completely saturated.
How Long Does a Pod Last?
The coil wears, the pod doesn’t: with no built-in coil, one pod will see you through many Nord coils. SMOK gives no coil lifespan. In our experience the Mesh 0.6Ω at up to 25W works hardest and the Regular 1.4Ω at 12W lasts longest. Retire the pod if the plug stops sealing, the body cracks, or coils start to sit loosely.

Why SMOK Pods Get Returned
Most SMOK pod returns we see come down to one assumption: that a pod with a familiar name fits a familiar device. SMOK names pods after the kit first and the coil second. This one is the RPM40’s Nord-coil pod; the Nord 2 has a different Nord-coil pod; the original Nord has another. They all take Nord coils, but SMOK lists each pod for its own kit only. Find your kit’s name, buy the pod listed for it, then choose a coil.
Best E-Liquids for These Pods
SMOK doesn’t give e-liquid guidance for this pod. With the 1.4Ω or 0.8Ω MTL coils, use nic salts at 10mg or 20mg; with the Mesh 0.6Ω, a lower-strength freebase from our 10ml e-liquids.
