SMOK TFV16 Coils: 0.17 Mesh, 0.12 Dual Mesh and 0.2 Conical Mesh
SMOK TFV16 coils are the high-power mesh coils for SMOK’s full-size TFV16 tank, three to a pack. We list three from SMOK’s TFV16 series: the 0.17Ω Mesh, the 0.12Ω Dual Mesh and the 0.2Ω Conical Mesh.
Don’t mix them up with TFV16 Lite coils. SMOK lists the TFV16 and TFV16 Lite as separate coil series for different tanks – each with its own 0.2Ω conical mesh – so check which tank you have first. For the Lite, see our SMOK TFV16 Lite coils.

TFV16 Coil Wattage
SMOK’s coil table names these coils, but its current site doesn’t print their wattages, so these are the figures UK stockists publish. SMOK also makes a 0.15Ω TFV16 Triple Mesh, rated at about 90W, which we don’t list.

What Does the TFV16 Coil Fit?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists the TFV16 coil series for the TFV16 and TFV18 tanks, and for the Mag P3, Morph 2 and ARCfox kits.
We don’t currently stock a TFV16-series tank or kit, so this pack is for existing TFV16, TFV18 and Mag P3 owners. Running the TFV16 Lite? You need our SMOK TFV16 Lite coils instead.
Will not fit: the TFV16 Lite tank or the G-Priv 3 – they take SMOK TFV16 Lite coils.
How to Fit and Prime a TFV16 Coil
- Take the tank off your mod and empty it.
- Unscrew the base and unscrew the old coil.
- Wet the mesh through the wicking holes with a few drops of e-liquid, and add a drop to the top.
- Screw in the new coil, refit the base and fill the tank.
- Wait about five minutes, then start at the bottom of the coil’s range and work up in 5W steps.
How Long Does a TFV16 Coil Last?
SMOK gives no figure. Coils running at up to 120W work hard, and sweet e-liquids shorten them further. Replace the coil when the flavour drops off or a dry note appears.
TFV16 Coil Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |

| Dry hits | The wattage is too high, or the liquid can’t keep up. Drop 10W and use a 70% VG liquid. |
| Spitting | The wattage is too low for the mesh. Go up 5W at a time. |
| The coil won’t fit | You probably have the TFV16 Lite, which takes its own coils. |
| Harsh throat hit | The nicotine is too strong for this power. Use 3mg. |
Best E-Liquids for TFV16 Coils
High-power mesh coils need a 70% VG or higher freebase at 3mg: a shortfill e-liquid with a nicotine shot is the usual choice. Nic salts are far too strong at these wattages.
