Description
SMOK TFV16 Lite Coil: Conical Mesh 0.2 Ohm
The SMOK TFV16 Lite coil we sell is the Conical Mesh 0.2Ω, one of the two coils SMOK designed for the TFV16 Lite tank. It is a Kanthal mesh shaped into a cone, which SMOK says concentrates the heat for a warm throat hit and fast ramp-up, and it is rated for 60–85W.
The Lite is not the full-size TFV16, and the coils are not shared. SMOK lists TFV16 Lite coils for the TFV16 Lite tank and the G-Priv 3 kit that ships with it; the standard TFV16 takes its own SMOK TFV16 coils. Our old listing called this a coil for the ‘TF16 tank’, which was misleading, and has been corrected.

TFV16 Lite Conical Mesh vs Dual Mesh

|---|---|---|---|

| Dual Mesh | 0.15Ω | 60–90W | Two mesh strips, heavy cloud |
Which Tanks Take the TFV16 Lite Coil?
SMOK lists the TFV16 Lite series for two products: the TFV16 Lite tank, and the G-Priv 3 kit, which comes with that tank.
We don’t sell the TFV16 Lite or G-Priv 3, so these coils are for existing owners. If your tank is the full-size TFV16, you need our SMOK TFV16 coils.
Will not fit: the full-size TFV16 tank, the TFV18 or any TFV8 or TFV12 tank.
How to Fit and Prime a TFV16 Lite Coil
- Empty the tank, unscrew it from the mod and unscrew the base to reach the coil.
- Screw the old coil out and prime the new one with e-liquid through its side ports and centre.
- Screw it in finger-tight and reassemble the tank.
- To fill, SMOK’s method is to press the button on the top cap and slide it open, then fill through the slot, keeping e-liquid out of the central airflow tube.
- Close the cap and leave it to soak for several minutes before firing at 60W.

How Long Does a TFV16 Lite Coil Last?
SMOK doesn’t publish one. At 65–75W with a clear e-liquid a conical mesh coil usually has a good week or two in it; custards and heavy desserts cut that noticeably. If the flavour turns flat or harsh even at the right wattage, replace it.
TFV16 Lite Coil Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Coil won’t thread into my tank | It’s a TFV16 Lite coil. A full-size TFV16 needs TFV16 coils. |
| Burnt hit above 80W | You are at the top of SMOK’s range. Drop to 70W. |
| Spitback | The coil is flooded or the wattage is too low for the mesh. Fire a few short pulses at 65W. |
| E-liquid in the drip tip | Liquid went down the centre tube while filling. Fill against the side of the slot. |
TFV16 Lite Coil vs TFV16 Coil
| TFV16 Lite coils | TFV16 coils | |
|---|---|---|
| Tank | TFV16 Lite | TFV16 |
| SMOK coils in the series | Conical Mesh 0.2, Dual Mesh 0.15Ω | Mesh 0.17, Dual Mesh 0.12, Triple Mesh 0.15, Conical Mesh 0.2Ω |
| Interchangeable | No | No |
Both series include a 0.2Ω conical mesh, which is why they get mixed up. Buy the one named after your tank.
Best E-Liquids for the TFV16 Lite
This is a high-wattage direct-lung coil, so it needs high-VG freebase at low strength. A shortfill e-liquid with one nicotine shot gives about 3mg. Nic salts are far too strong here.
