Geekvape B Series Coils for the Aegis Hero 5 and Aegis Boost Plus

Geekvape B Series coils are the replaceable mesh coils for GeekVape’s Aegis Hero and Aegis Boost pod mods, five to a pack. We stock the 0.2Ω, 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω, which between them run from a restricted lung hit down to about 15W.

GeekVape sells the B coil in two versions – the original B Series and the newer Boost Version – and says they share the same interface, so either fits any device that takes a B coil. What changes from device to device is which resistances it can power.

GeekVape’s ratings for the three B coils we stock. It also makes a 0.3Ω (30–38W) and MTL versions, which we don’t currently list.

Which Devices Take Geekvape B Series Coils?

GeekVape lists B coils for the Aegis Hero cartridge (Hero 5, Hero 2 / H45), the Boost and Boost Plus pods, the B60 (Boost 2 and Boost 3) pod, the Aegis Force cartridge and the Z Nano 2 and Z Nano 3 tanks.

The Geekvape Aegis Hero 5 Pod Kit ships with B coils – GeekVape puts a B0.4 and a B0.2 Boost Version in the box – and supports every B resistance from 0.2Ω up, at up to 50W. Its spare cartridge is the Geekvape Aegis Hero 5 empty cartridge, which comes without a coil, so fit one of these. The same goes for the kit in our Aegis Hero 5 bundle deal.

For the Geekvape Aegis Boost Plus pod, GeekVape lists the B0.4 (25–35W) and B0.6 (15–25W), so use those two in it rather than the 0.2Ω.

Will not fit: the Geekvape Aegis replacement pod cartridges – the Aegis Pod uses the G Series coil (see our Geekvape G coil KA1 1.2Ω). B coils also aren’t listed for the Aegis Boost Pro or B100 pods.

How to Fit and Prime a Geekvape B Series Coil

1. Take the pod or cartridge off the device and pull the old coil out.
2. Wet the cotton through the side window of the new coil, then push it firmly home – GeekVape stresses that it must seat fully.
3. Fill, refit and let it stand for three to five minutes.
4. Set the airflow for the coil: GeekVape says at least two-thirds open for the 0.2Ω and no more than one-third for the RDL coils. Start at the bottom of the wattage band.

How Long Does a Geekvape B Series Coil Last?

GeekVape’s answer for the B Series is typically one to two weeks, depending on how much you vape, and it says the newer Boost Version lasts about twice as long. The 0.2Ω at 58W wears quickest; the 0.6Ω on nic salts usually goes longest. Sweet liquids shorten any coil’s life.

Best E-Liquids for B Series Coils

With the 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω, 10mg or 20mg nic salts work well, as do 50/50 freebase e-liquids. The 0.2Ω is a lung coil: GeekVape recommends freebase at 3mg or less, so a shortfill with a single nic shot is the match. Not sure which nicotine type suits you? Read nic salts vs freebase.
