Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA: Build Your Own Coil in the Aegis Boost
The Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA is a rebuildable pod for the original Aegis Boost. Instead of a prebuilt coil head, it has a two-post deck under a screw-off top, so you build and wick your own coil. GeekVape made it for experienced vapers.
It comes ready to go, with two kinds of prebuilt coil in the box, and holds 2ml. This is a pod for the original Aegis Boost only – it isn’t listed for the Boost Plus, Boost Pro or the later B60 devices.

Our listing and UK retailers agree on the contents below. GeekVape doesn’t publish wattages for the included coils, so we don’t either; the Aegis Boost itself reads coils from 0.2Ω to 3Ω and fires at 5–40W.

What Does the Aegis Boost RBA Fit?
GeekVape designed the Aegis Boost to take either its standard pod or this RBA, with a quick-release fitting for switching between them.
We don’t currently stock the original Aegis Boost, so this is a part for existing Boost owners. For rebuilding, we carry Cotton Gods wicking cotton and UD Ni80 24ga wire if you want to wind your own coils, as well as prebuilt Geekvape fused Clapton coils.
Will not fit: the Aegis Boost Plus (it has its own Aegis Boost Plus pod and a separate RDTA), the Aegis Boost Pro, B60 or B100, or any Aegis Hero.
How to Build, Prime and Fill the Aegis Boost RBA
- Unscrew the top of the RBA anticlockwise to reveal the deck (GeekVape’s first step).
- Fit the coil between the two posts, tighten the screws and trim the legs. Fire it briefly to check it glows evenly from the centre.
- Thread the cotton through the coil, trim it to reach the wicking channels, and wet it well with e-liquid.
- Refit the top, lift the silicone plug and fill.
- Press the plug back in and leave it five minutes so the cotton soaks right through, as GeekVape advises.
How Long Does a Rebuild Last?
With a rebuildable there’s no coil head to throw away. Most of the time you only need to re-wick: when the flavour dulls, pull the old cotton, dry-burn the coil gently to clean it and fit fresh cotton. Replace the coil itself when it stays dirty or the resistance starts to drift. Spare Cotton Gods wicking cotton and our Geekvape fused Clapton coils keep it going.
Aegis Boost RBA Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |

| Leaking from the airflow | Too much cotton trimmed away, or the wick has dried and shrunk. Re-wick with the tails reaching the channels. |
| Dry hits | Not enough cotton in the channels, or the wick is too tight. Loosen it slightly. |
| Device reads no atomiser | A coil leg isn’t clamped. Re-tighten the post screws. |
| Resistance jumping | Loose post screw or a coil leg touching the deck. Check and reseat. |
Best E-Liquids for the Aegis Boost RBA
On the 1.3Ω KA1, 10mg or 20mg nic salts or 50/50 freebase e-liquids work well. On the 0.6Ω fused Clapton, go lower on nicotine and higher on VG, because the vapour is denser. GeekVape doesn’t publish e-liquid guidance for the RBA, so that’s our advice.
