Description

Geekvape Aegis Boost Plus Pod: A Replaceable-Coil Pod for B Series Coils

The Aegis Boost Plus pod is the replacement pod for GeekVape’s Aegis Boost Plus. Unlike most pods, the coil isn’t built in: it takes a separate, replaceable Geekvape B Series coil, so when the flavour fades you change a coil and keep the pod. The pod itself only needs replacing when it cracks, its seals wear, or a coil no longer sits tightly.

GeekVape names the Aegis Boost Plus on its B Series coil listing for the B0.4 and B0.6, and its coil chart places the whole B Series row against the Aegis Boost and Boost Plus. Below: which B coil to fit and at what wattage, how to set up the pod, and how to keep it going.

Which B Series Coil for the Aegis Boost Plus?

GeekVape’s B Series listing names the Aegis Boost Plus for these two coils, and labels both for MTL and restricted direct-lung vaping:

Coil Wattage Draw (GeekVape) Best with
B0.4 25–35W MTL and restricted DTL More vapour on lower-strength freebase
B0.6 15–25W MTL and restricted DTL Our pick for nic salts – 10mg or 20mg
White Vape Co recommends: for nic salts, fit the B0.6 and keep it between 15W and 25W. The B0.4 is the one for bigger vapour on freebase at 25–35W – don’t push it past 35W. GeekVape’s chart also lists the B0.2, B0.3 and B1.2 against the Boost Plus, but the B0.4 and B0.6 are the two it names on the coil listing itself.

Which Device Does This Pod Fit?

This pod is sold for the Aegis Boost Plus. GeekVape sells separate pods for the other Aegis Boost devices and doesn’t say any of them swap.

We don’t currently stock the Aegis Boost Plus device, so this pod is here for existing owners. If you’re choosing a new GeekVape pod device, the Geekvape Aegis Hero 5 Pod Kit is the one we carry; GeekVape doesn’t list this pod for it, and it takes its own Aegis Hero 5 cartridge.

Will not fit: the Aegis Boost, Aegis Boost 2, Aegis Boost 3 or Aegis Boost Pro 2, each of which GeekVape sells its own pod for.

Fitting a Coil and Filling the Pod

  1. Take the pod out of the device and remove the old coil.
  2. Fit a B Series coil firmly into the base of the pod.
  3. Fill the pod slowly through its fill port, leaving a small gap at the top.
  4. Close the port, wipe the pod dry and refit it.
  5. Let a new coil soak before the first puff. On its Aegis Boost LE, a sister model, GeekVape advises five minutes.

How Long Does a Pod Last?

With a separate coil, the pod lasts far longer than the coil does. GeekVape doesn’t give a coil life for the standard B Series in the Boost Plus, so here is what we see: change the coil when the flavour dulls or a burnt note creeps in, usually after a week or two, and replace the pod only when it leaks, clouds badly or stops holding a coil tightly.

Aegis Boost Plus Pod Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause and fix
Burnt hit on a fresh coil It wasn’t soaked, or the wattage is above the band – 35W on the B0.4, 25W on the B0.6.
Thin, weak flavour The wattage is below the band. The B0.6 wants at least 15W.
Leaking from the base The coil isn’t fully seated, or the pod’s seals are worn – time for a new pod.
Coil won’t sit tightly The pod has worn. Replace the pod and keep your coils.
Coil not recognised Check it is a standard B Series coil. GeekVape doesn’t list its upgraded Boost Version B coil or the B (MTL) coils for the Boost Plus.

Best E-Liquids for These Pods

On the B0.6, use nic salts at 10–20mg or 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids. On the B0.4 at 25–35W, lower-strength freebase makes more sense, and a shortfill with a nic shot works well. For the wider GeekVape line-up, see our GeekVape brand review.
