Vaporesso GTX Coils: One Mesh Family From 0.15 to 1.2 Ohm
Vaporesso GTX coils cover every vaping style on one platform, from a 1.2Ω mesh coil for tight MTL to a 0.15Ω for dense clouds. There are five coils in each pack, and we stock the 0.15Ω, 0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω.
Vaporesso’s latest GTX coils use its MORPH-Mesh design and COREX cotton, and the three lowest resistances also come in a dual-mesh version. They fit the Armour G, Armour GS and GTX One – but not the GTi-based Armour MAX, S and Ultra, which is the most common mix-up we see. Everything’s set out below.

GTX Coil Resistances and Wattage
These are Vaporesso’s own figures from its GTX coil page. Its online store quotes slightly wider ranges for the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω; we use the coil page, which matches the numbers printed on the coils.

Which Devices Take GTX Coils?
Vaporesso’s GTX coil page lists the Armour G Series pods, the Armour G and GS, the GTX One Pro and the LUXE XR pods among its compatible products.
The Vaporesso Armour G Vape Kit and Vaporesso Armour GS Vape Kit both run GTX coils in the Vaporesso Armour G Series replacement pod: the DTL pod takes the 0.15Ω to 0.4Ω and the MTL pod the 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω. With 5–80W on tap, either kit covers the whole GTX range. The Armour G comes with the 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω, the GS with the 0.15Ω and 0.3Ω.
The Vaporesso GTX One Vape Kit uses GTX coils in its GTX Tank 18 and ships with the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω – it’s an MTL kit topping out at 40W, so those two are the ones to use in it. Vaporesso also lists the GTX One Pro – our GTX One Pro mod is sold without a tank, so you’d need a GTX tank such as Vaporesso’s XTank T, which we don’t stock. The LUXE XR pods take GTX coils too.
Will not fit: GTi devices and tanks – the iTank 2, iTank T, Armour MAX, Armour S and Armour Ultra. Vaporesso says GTX and GTi are separate platforms and not interchangeable. XROS and LUXE X pods have their own built-in coils.
How to Fit and Prime a GTX Coil
- Take the pod or tank off the device and pull the old coil out of the base.
- Drip e-liquid into the top of the new coil and onto the cotton through the side holes. Vaporesso doesn’t publish a priming routine; this is our shop method.
- Push the GTX coil in until it’s firmly seated.
- Fill, then leave it five minutes – ten for the 0.15Ω and 0.2Ω.
- Start a few watts below Vaporesso’s best setting and work up.
How Long Does a GTX Coil Last?
Vaporesso’s store puts the DTL coils at around five to six refills, and the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω MTL coils at up to seven or eight, before they need replacing. It also claims its dual-mesh versions last longer than single mesh. Sweet liquids and running above the best wattage shorten it; a burnt taste, gurgling or weak vapour means it’s done.

Best E-Liquids for GTX Coils
Vaporesso matches liquid to resistance: freebase at 0–6mg and 30/70 to 40/60 PG/VG for the 0.15Ω, 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω, which makes them shortfill coils. The 0.6Ω takes 10–20mg nic salts or 6–12mg freebase at 50/50 to 40/60. The 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω suit 12–20mg freebase from our 10ml e-liquids or 20mg nic salts.
