Description

Vaporesso ARMOUR G Kit: 80W Pod Mod with a 3000mAh Battery

The Vaporesso ARMOUR G is a compact 80W pod mod that runs on replaceable GTX coils. Vaporesso’s Mega Batt cell technology fits a 3000mAh battery into a body just 113mm tall – about 30% smaller than other pod mods of the same capacity, on Vaporesso’s figures – and the AXON chip’s Neo Pulse mode holds the output steady from a full charge down to 10%. A 0.96-inch TFT screen, a top-fill, top-airflow pod and a car-seat-style grip finish complete it.

The kit we sell is the DTL version: an ARMOUR G Series DTL pod with a GTX 0.2Ω mesh coil fitted and a 0.4Ω in the box. Because the coil is separate from the pod, you replace a small coil rather than a whole pod, and you can switch between a cloud setup and a mouth-to-lung one. Below: specs, coil wattages, which pods and coils fit, setup, battery, troubleshooting, ARMOUR G vs ARMOUR GS, colours and box contents.

White Vape Co recommends: for dense clouds on a 3mg or 6mg shortfill, the GTX 0.2Ω it ships with, at 45–60W, is hard to beat. For more flavour and longer coil life, drop to the GTX 0.3Ω at 32–45W. For nic salts, change to the MTL version of the ARMOUR G pod and fit a GTX 0.8Ω at 12–16W.

Which Pods and Coils Fit the ARMOUR G?

The ARMOUR G takes Vaporesso’s ARMOUR G Series pods – empty pods that each hold one GTX coil.

Spare pods are our Vaporesso ARMOUR G Series replacement pods, sold in DTL and MTL versions. The DTL pod takes GTX coils from 0.15Ω to 0.4Ω and has a wider, airier draw; the MTL pod takes 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω for a tighter pull. Vaporesso lists both for the ARMOUR G, so changing pods is how you switch styles on the same device.

For coils, our Vaporesso GTX coils 5 pack come in 0.15Ω, 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω for the DTL pod and 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω for the MTL pod. The GTX 0.4Ω in the box is on Vaporesso’s list too, but we don’t currently stock it as a spare.

Will not fit: GTi coils. GTi and GTX are separate platforms; Vaporesso GTi coils are for the iTank tanks on the ARMOUR MAX, S and ULTRA.

Getting Started with the ARMOUR G

  1. Charge the ARMOUR G over Type-C before first use.
  2. Take the pod out and check the GTX 0.2Ω coil is pushed firmly into its base.
  3. Fill the pod from the top, leaving a small air gap, then give the coil five minutes to soak.
  4. Set the wattage for your coil – Vaporesso suggests 45–60W for the 0.2Ω – and start at the low end.
  5. Choose one of the four top-airflow levels, and use the lock button whenever it goes in a pocket.

ARMOUR G Battery Life and Charging

3000mAh is a big battery for a pod mod this size, and Neo Pulse is designed to make the most of it: Vaporesso says output stays stable from 100% right down to 10%, so the vape doesn’t fade as the charge drops. How long a charge lasts depends on the coil. A GTX 0.2Ω at 50W empties it far faster than a 0.8Ω at 14W, so heavy DTL vapers should plan on charging daily, while MTL users on the higher-resistance coils will go well beyond that. It charges at 5V/2A over Type-C.

ARMOUR G Troubleshooting

Problem Likely cause and fix
Won’t fire Check the lock. A single button locks and unlocks the fire button.
Burnt taste from a new coil Let the coil soak for five minutes after filling and start at the bottom of its wattage range.
Coil not recognised Push the GTX coil fully into the pod base, and make sure it’s a GTX, not a GTi.
Leaking Don’t overfill, and close the fill port properly.

Best E-Liquids for the ARMOUR G

In the DTL pod on the 0.15Ω to 0.4Ω coils, use a high-VG shortfill e-liquid at 3mg or 6mg. In the MTL pod on the 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω coils, nic salts up to 20mg or 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids work well. Vaporesso’s GTX chart makes the same split.
