Vaporesso ARMOUR G Replacement Pod: Empty Pod for GTX Coils
The Vaporesso ARMOUR G replacement pod is the empty pod for the Vaporesso ARMOUR G and ARMOUR GS. It’s sold without a coil, two to a pack, and takes Vaporesso’s GTX coils – so you change the coil as it wears and keep the pod for months.
There are two versions: a DTL pod with a wide mouthpiece for sub-ohm clouds, and an MTL pod with a narrower one for a tighter draw. Both fill from the top and have a four-step airflow ring at the top. One thing to get right: these pods take GTX coils only. GTi coils look similar but are a separate platform and won’t fit.

Which GTX Coil for Each ARMOUR G Pod?
Vaporesso’s GTX coil page lists 0.15Ω to 0.4Ω for the DTL pod and 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω for the MTL pod. The wattages are Vaporesso’s suggested ranges from its ARMOUR G page.

Which Devices Does the ARMOUR G Pod Fit?
Vaporesso’s store lists this pod for the ARMOUR G and ARMOUR GS. The GS kit ships with the ARMOUR G Series DTL pod.
We stock both devices this pod is made for. The Vaporesso ARMOUR G Vape Kit comes in DTL and MTL versions, with a GTX 0.2Ω or 0.6Ω fitted and a GTX 0.4Ω in the box. The Vaporesso ARMOUR GS Vape Kit ships with the DTL pod and the GTX 0.15Ω, with a 0.3Ω spare. Keep your Vaporesso GTX coils for these pods; Vaporesso GTi coils are for other devices.
Will not fit: GTi coils – Vaporesso says GTi and GTX are separate platforms and aren’t interchangeable – or other ARMOUR devices such as the ARMOUR S, MAX and Ultra, which use tanks. We don’t claim the GTX 0.4Ω for the MTL pod: Vaporesso’s coil page lists that pod from 0.6Ω.
How to Fit a GTX Coil and Fill the Pod
- Lift the pod out of the device.
- Push a GTX coil firmly into the base of the pod – 0.15Ω–0.4Ω for the DTL pod, 0.6Ω–1.2Ω for the MTL pod.
- Open the fill tab at the top and fill slowly, leaving a small gap.
- Close the tab and set the airflow ring to one of its four positions.
- Refit the pod. Let a new coil soak for five minutes before firing, and start at the low end of its wattage range.
How Long Does a Pod Last?
The pod itself lasts for months; it’s the coil that wears. Vaporesso’s store puts GTX coils at five to six refills for the DTL coils, and up to seven or eight for the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω MTL coils. Replace the pod if it cracks, the fill tab stops sealing or the airflow ring loosens.

Vaporesso sums up the pod as double top, triple S, quadra leakproof: top fill and top airflow, its SSS leak-resistant technology, and a new bottom structure that locks condensation inside the pod instead of letting it reach the battery.
