Innokin Z Coils: The Z-Coil Range for Zenith and Zlide Tanks
Innokin Z coils are the push-in coil heads for Innokin’s Zenith and Zlide tanks, five to a pack. They used to be boxed as Zenith coils; in December 2019 Innokin renamed them Z Coils without changing the coil, so an old Zenith box and a new Z Coil box hold the same part.
The range runs from a 0.3Ω restricted lung coil to classic MTL heads at 1.2Ω, and we stock six of them. The table uses Innokin’s current Z-Coil Family chart, which revised several wattages – the 0.8Ω, for example, is now rated 15–18W.

Which Tanks and Kits Take Innokin Z Coils?
Innokin’s Z-Coil Family chart covers the Zenith, Zenith Pro, Zenith II, Zenith II Pro, Zenith M, Zenith D22, Zlide and Zlide Top tanks, and kits including the Coolfire Z80 NEX, Coolfire Z60, Kroma-Z, Gozee and EZ Tube.
The Innokin Coolfire Z80 NEX Vape Kit is the kit we stock that uses them. Innokin says the Z80 NEX works with all Z coils, and the UK version comes with the 2ml Zenith M tank, a 0.8Ω coil for MTL and a 0.3Ω for RDL.
For a standalone MTL tank, the Innokin Zlide tank takes the entire Z-Coil line and ships with the 0.48Ω Plex3D, and the Innokin Zlide Top tank comes with the 0.6Ω DuoPrime and takes all Z coils too. The Zlide Top is also the tank on the Innokin Coolfire Z60 kit.
Will not fit: the 0.3Ω in the Adept Zlide, Zlide Tube or GO Z pens: Innokin says the 0.3 and 1.0 suit RDL tanks and devices only, and those kits run at 11–17W or a fixed 13W or 16W. Z coils don’t fit Innokin’s Prism tanks (see T18E coils), the Ares rebuildable tanks or the fixed-coil GO S.
How to Fit and Prime an Innokin Z Coil
- Take the tank off your mod and unscrew the base from the tank section.
- Pull the old coil out – Z coils push in, with the 510 connection built into the coil itself.
- Put a little e-liquid on each wicking hole of the new coil, as Innokin recommends, then push it in and reassemble.
- Fill the tank, leave it at least five minutes, and take the first few puffs at the bottom of the coil’s range.
How Long Does an Innokin Z Coil Last?
Innokin doesn’t put a number on Z coil life. Its advice for making any coil last: prime properly, keep the tank topped up so the wick never runs dry, and stay inside the coil’s wattage range. It pitches the Plex3D 0.48, Plexus 0.5 and DuoPrime 0.6 as its longer-lasting options, and an MTL head at 10–18W will generally outlast the 0.3Ω at 40W.
Innokin Z Coil Troubleshooting

Best E-Liquids for Innokin Z Coils
Innokin’s own Z-Coil guide suits liquids from 40/60 to 70/30 VG/PG, freebase or salt, up to 20mg. On the MTL coils, 10mg or 20mg nic salts and 50/50 freebase e-liquids are the natural match. On the 0.3Ω, go higher on VG and lower on nicotine.
