Geekvape Aegis Legend 3 Kit (L200): 200W with a Palm-Sensing Smart Lock
The Geekvape Aegis Legend 3, also sold as the L200 Legend 3, is the Legend with GeekVape’s Smart Lock – a sensor on the back that unlocks the mod when your palm covers it – and the first with its Memory mode. Around them sits a 200W dual-18650 box mod with the AS Chip 4.0, six working modes, a 0.96-inch colour screen, 5V/3A fast charging and an IP68 rating. The UK kit includes a 2ml Z Fli tank with a flip-top cap and two Z XM coils.

Which Coils and Tanks Fit the Aegis Legend 3?
GeekVape lists six Z Series coils for the Legend 3 kit, and its 510 connection takes other Z tanks as well.
Both coils in the box are Geekvape Z XM coils – the Z0.15 XM at 70–85W and the Z0.4 XM at 50–60W. GeekVape’s chart for the Legend 3 also lists the standard Geekvape Z coils: Z0.15 (80–90W), Z0.2 (70–80W), Z0.25 (45–57W) and Z0.4 (50–60W).
A second Geekvape Z Fli tank is sold on its own if you like to run two flavours. If you’d rather not have a flip-top, the Z Sub-Ohm Tank 5 and the child-lock Z Sub-Ohm SE tank take the same Z coils.
Will not fit: B Series coils, which are for pod cartridges such as the Aegis Hero.
Setting Up the Legend 3 and Its Smart Lock
- Fit two charged, flat-ended 18650s. Button tops can stop the battery door closing.
- Flip open the Z Fli cap, fill the tank, click the cap shut and let a new coil soak for 3–5 minutes.
- Pick a lock setting. Touch Lock (the default) unlocks when your palm covers the sensor on the back; Button Lock stops stray touches changing your settings while the fire button still works; Unlock Mode frees every button, handy with gloves on.
- Choose a mode: Smart matches the power to your Z coil, or set your own watts in Power mode.
- Save favourite set-ups in Memory mode – up to five, recalled with one click.
Legend 3 Batteries and Charging
Two external 18650s power the Legend 3, and it charges them in the mod over Type-C at up to 5V/3A, fast for a dual-battery mod. If you vape at high wattage all day, keep a spare pair on an external charger and swap. Use matched high-drain cells, bought and used together, and check the wraps now and then – a nicked wrap is a reason to replace a cell. The AS Chip 4.0’s buck-boost output keeps the power steady as the batteries run down, so the last puffs taste like the first.
Aegis Legend 3 Troubleshooting
