E-Liquids by Type
Choosing the right e-liquid starts with understanding the different types available. At White Vape Co, we stock every major style of vape juice so you can match your liquid to your device and vaping style. From classic 10ml bottles to high VG shortfills and smooth nic salts, you’ll find options for both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping.
Our range includes 10ml freebase e-liquids for traditional throat hit, nicotine salts for a smoother inhale, shortfill e-liquids for sub-ohm devices, and nic shots and longfills for DIY mixers. You can also explore DIY e-liquid options if you like to customise your own blends.
Nic Salts vs Freebase E-Liquids
Nic salts and freebase e-liquids both contain nicotine, but they behave differently when you vape them. Freebase 10ml e-liquids are ideal if you prefer a stronger throat hit and typically come in 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg strengths. They work best in low to medium power devices and are a great choice for smokers making the switch.
Nicotine salts use a different formulation that makes the inhale smoother, even at higher strengths like 10mg and 20mg. This makes nic salts perfect for pod kits and MTL devices, delivering a satisfying nicotine hit without harshness. If you’re unsure which to choose, nic salts are usually better for newer vapers and pod users, while freebase suits those who like a more traditional cigarette-style feel.
Shortfills, VG/PG Ratios & DTL Vaping
Shortfills are larger bottles of nicotine-free e-liquid, usually 50ml, 100ml or 200ml, designed to be mixed with nic shots. Most shortfills use a high VG blend such as 70VG/30PG, which produces bigger clouds and smoother vapour, making them ideal for sub-ohm tanks and high-power vape mods.
If you’re using a DTL device, look for shortfill e-liquids with at least 70% VG. For pod kits and starter kits, a 50/50 VG/PG blend is usually best, as it wicks more easily and provides a tighter draw. You can also use our Nicotine Shot Calculator to work out exactly how many nic shots you need to reach your preferred strength.

E-Liquids FAQ
1. What are e-liquids?
E-liquids (or vape juice) are liquids used in vape kits and e-cigarettes. They typically contain propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG), flavourings and nicotine (optional).
2. What is the difference between nic salts and freebase e-liquids?
Freebase e-liquids provide a stronger throat hit and are ideal for lower nicotine strengths. Nic salts use a different formulation that makes higher strengths smoother to inhale, making them perfect for pod kits and newer vapers.
3. Which e-liquid should I use with my device?
For pod kits and MTL devices, choose 50/50 e-liquids or nic salts. For sub-ohm tanks and high-power vape mods, use high VG shortfills (usually 70VG/30PG) with added nic shots.
4. How long does a 10ml bottle of e-liquid last?
A 10ml bottle typically lasts 1–3 days depending on your device, wattage and how often you vape. Higher power devices use more liquid.
5. What are PG/VG ratios and why do they matter?
PG carries flavour and provides throat hit, while VG produces vapour and smoothness. A 50/50 blend suits most pod kits, while 70VG/30PG is better for sub-ohm devices and cloud production.
6. What are shortfill e-liquids?
Shortfills are larger bottles of nicotine-free e-liquid filled short of the top so you can add nic shots. They offer better value for sub-ohm vapers and usually use high VG blends.
7. How do I work out how many nic shots I need?
You can use our Nicotine Shot Calculator to work out exactly how many nic shots to add to your shortfill to reach your desired strength.
8. Are all your e-liquids TPD compliant?
Yes. All e-liquids sold at White Vape Co are fully TPD-compliant, sourced from authorised UK distributors and correctly labelled.
9. How should I store my e-liquids?
Store e-liquids in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets. Keep bottles tightly closed when not in use.
10. Do e-liquids expire?
Yes. E-liquids have a best-before date printed on the bottle. Over time, flavour and nicotine strength can degrade, so it’s best to use them before the stated date.
11. Which e-liquid is best value: 10ml or shortfills?
For light to moderate vapers, 10ml bottles and nic salts are convenient and cost-effective. For heavier sub-ohm users, shortfills with nic shots usually work out cheaper per ml.
12. Can I get help choosing the right e-liquid?
Yes. You can contact us online or visit our Hythe, Holbury or Totton vape shops for personalised advice on flavours, strengths and device compatibility.
