Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro: The Budget Auto-Draw Pod Kit
The Vaporesso XROS Mini Retro is one of the cheapest ways into a Vaporesso refillable: a compact, button-free pod kit with a 1000mAh battery, an 18W maximum output and a small LED battery light. Fill the pod, inhale and it fires – there’s nothing to set and nothing to learn. It comes with a 0.6Ω XROS Series mesh pod already in place.
One thing to know up front: the XROS Mini Retro doesn’t appear on Vaporesso’s own website or official store, which is unusual for a Vaporesso device. So for this page we took the specification from the major UK retailers that sell it and used only the figures at least two of them agree on. Which Pods Fit the XROS Mini Retro?
It’s the first question most buyers ask about the Mini Retro, and the honest answer is shorter than you might expect.
The kit ships with an XROS Series 0.6Ω mesh pod. What Vaporesso hasn’t done is put the Mini Retro on any of its pod compatibility charts, and UK retailers don’t agree on the details – some list every XROS resistance, others say the 0.4Ω is excluded. A wrong pod is a wasted purchase, so we don’t make a fitment claim for it here.

Getting Started with the XROS Mini Retro
- Find a USB-C cable – there isn’t one in the box – and charge the Mini Retro before you use it.
- Lift the 0.6Ω pod out of the device, open its top-fill port and fill it, leaving a small gap at the top.
- Put the pod back and leave it five minutes so the cotton soaks through before your first puff.
- Inhale gently from the mouthpiece. The Mini Retro fires on the draw; there’s no button.
- Watch the LED light and recharge when it shows the battery is running low.
XROS Mini Retro Battery Life
A 1000mAh battery is on the small side, and that’s what keeps the Mini Retro short and light. Vaped on its 0.6Ω pod with nic salts, it will see most light to moderate vapers through a working day; heavier vapers should expect an evening top-up. It charges over Type-C, so any modern phone cable will do – useful, because one isn’t supplied. If battery life matters more to you than size, the XROS 5 Mini carries half as much again at 1500mAh.
