Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini: Auto-Draw MTL Pod Kit with COREX 3.0

The Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini is the no-fuss member of the XROS family: a slim, screen-free pod kit that fires when you inhale, runs on a 1500mAh battery and recharges over Type-C at 2A. Vaporesso built it around its COREX 3.0 heating and gave it adjustable airflow, so one device can give you a tight, cigarette-style pull or a looser restricted lung hit, depending on the pod you fit and where you set the airflow.

It takes Vaporesso’s long-running XROS pods, and the UK kit arrives with the 0.6Ω XROS mesh pod already fitted. Which Pods Fit the XROS 5 Mini?

Vaporesso lists five XROS resistances on the XROS 5 Mini page, from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω. XROS pods share the same magnetic base, so changing style means swapping one pod for another.

The pod the kit ships with is the 0.6Ω, and our Vaporesso XROS COREX 3.0 replacement pods are its like-for-like replacement, in 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω. Vaporesso names the XROS 5 Mini among the devices that take both, and the 0.6Ω uses the newer COREX 3.0 heating, which Vaporesso says gives richer aroma and a smoother draw.

For a looser, cloudier restricted lung vape, the Vaporesso XROS 0.4 ohm COREX 2.0 pods fit as well. The 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω XROS pods are on Vaporesso’s list for this device too if you prefer a tighter pull – ask in store about current stock.

Will not fit: LUXE X or ECO NANO pods, which Vaporesso’s store charts mark as separate platforms, and GTX coils.

Getting Started with the XROS 5 Mini

1. Charge it first. Plug in the Type-C cable and wait until all four lights of the LED strip are showing.
2. Pull the pod out of the top of the device. Snap the mouthpiece off, put the bottle’s nozzle into the red filling slot and squeeze gently, then press the mouthpiece back on firmly.
3. Leave a new pod for five minutes before your first puff so the cotton is soaked through – the filling card in the box asks for the same.
4. Push the pod back in; its magnets pull it into place.
5. Set the airflow and inhale gently. The XROS 5 Mini fires on the draw, so there’s no button to press.

XROS 5 Mini Battery Life and Charging

The 1500mAh battery is large for a pen-style pod, and for most people vaping a 0.6Ω or 0.8Ω pod on nic salts it lasts the day comfortably. The hidden LED strip shows where you stand: four lights means 75% or more, one means it’s time to find a cable. Charging runs at 2A over Type-C. The 0.4Ω pod draws more power, so expect to charge a little sooner on that one.
