Description
Vaporesso XROS COREX 3.0 Replacement Pods: 0.4 and 0.6 Ohm Mesh
The Vaporesso XROS COREX 3.0 replacement pods are the current generation of XROS pod, four to a pack, with the mesh coil built in. We stock two resistances: the 0.6Ω, which Vaporesso lists for the entire XROS series, and the 0.4Ω, a looser restricted-lung pod that only some XROS devices are listed to run.
COREX 3.0 is Vaporesso’s third revision of its pod heating core. On the 0.6Ω the heating wire moves from nickel chrome to iron chrome aluminium and the heating area grows by 40%, paired with a honeycomb-style Hive-Mesh and finer cotton. Below: the wattage for each resistance, exactly which XROS devices take the 0.4Ω, and how to fill and prime the pod.

XROS COREX 3.0 Pod: 0.4 vs 0.6 Ohm
Vaporesso gives a best wattage for each XROS pod. Devices with adjustable power let you fine-tune around it; the rest use their own power levels.
| Resistance | Best wattage | Draw | Best with |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.4Ω | 25W | RDL (restricted lung) | Denser vapour; 50/50 freebase at lower strengths, or 10mg nic salts |
| 0.6Ω | 21W | Loose MTL to RDL | Our pick for nic salts – 10mg or 20mg, rich, warm flavour |
Which XROS Devices Do COREX 3.0 Pods Fit?
The two resistances have different fitment, so check yours before ordering.
From our range, the Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini Vape Kit takes both resistances: Vaporesso lists the 0.6Ω for every XROS and names the 0.4Ω on the XROS 5 Mini page. The flagship Vaporesso XROS 6 and the XROS 6 Mini run both too, and the XROS 6 adds Smart Prime to cut the soak time.
The Vaporesso XROS 4, XROS 4 Nano and XROS Pro are also listed for the 0.4Ω. The Vaporesso XROS Cube takes the 0.6Ω but not the 0.4Ω, and the same goes for the first-generation XROS Mini.
Will not fit: the 0.4Ω pod in the XROS Cube, which Vaporesso lists for 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω only, or the first-generation XROS Mini, which lists 0.8Ω to 1.2Ω. Neither resistance fits the LUXE X, LUXE Q or ECO NANO ranges.

How to Fill and Prime an XROS COREX 3.0 Pod
- Lift the pod out of the device – it’s held by magnets.
- Flip open the clamshell cap on top of the pod. It opens with one hand.
- Fill slowly to about 90%, as Vaporesso advises, rather than to the brim.
- Snap the cap shut, wipe the pod and the contacts, and drop it back in.
- Leave a new pod for five minutes so the cotton soaks through. On the XROS 6, Vaporesso’s Smart Prime cuts this to 60 seconds.

How Long Does a Pod Last?
Vaporesso’s lab figure is six to eight refills per pod, and its store puts that at every one to two weeks for a daily MTL vaper, noting COREX 3.0 pods may last slightly longer. Sweeter liquids shorten it. The 0.4Ω runs hotter and usually goes first. Change the pod when the flavour dulls or turns sharp – the coil can’t be replaced on its own.
XROS Pod Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| 0.4Ω pod not firing | Your device may not be listed for it. The XROS Cube and first XROS Mini don’t list the 0.4Ω. Use a 0.6Ω. |
| Gurgling | Liquid in the airway. Take the pod out, wrap the mouthpiece in tissue and flick it, then draw more gently. |
| Burnt first puff | The pod wasn’t primed. Give the next one the full five minutes. |
| Liquid on the contacts | Usually overfilling or condensation. Fill to about 90% and wipe the base. |
| Flavour fading | The coil has worn. Fit a fresh pod. |
COREX 3.0 vs COREX 2.0 XROS Pods
| COREX 3.0 (0.6Ω) | COREX 2.0 | |
|---|---|---|
| Heating wire | Iron chrome aluminium | Morph mesh |
| Heating area | +40% on the 0.6Ω | Standard |
| Cotton | Nano-microfiber, +50% liquid-locking | Upgraded COREX cotton |
| Airway | Chimney airway | Standard |
| Fits | Same XROS slot | Same XROS slot |
Both generations use the same shell and magnets, so they mix freely in one device. We also keep the XROS COREX 2.0 0.4 ohm pods.

Best E-Liquids for These Pods
Vaporesso describes XROS pods as versatile for freebase and nic salts. On the 0.6Ω, 10mg or 20mg salts are the natural fit – Vaporesso’s own Dojoliq nic salts are an easy match. On the 0.4Ω, a 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids at lower strength suits the extra vapour. Skip thick high-VG shortfills. More on the choice: nic salts vs freebase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do COREX 3.0 pods work with all XROS devices?
The 0.6Ω does: Vaporesso lists it for the entire XROS series. The 0.4Ω is only listed for the XROS 4, 4 Mini, 4 Nano, Pro, Pro 2, 5, 5 Mini, 5 Nano, 6 and 6 Mini.
What is the difference between 0.6 and 0.8 XROS pods?
Vaporesso’s best wattage is 21W for the 0.6Ω and 16W for the 0.8Ω. The 0.6Ω gives a looser, warmer draw; the 0.8Ω is tighter MTL, and Vaporesso calls it its most popular.
Can I mix COREX 3.0 and COREX 2.0 pods?
Yes. They share the same XROS slot.
How long do XROS COREX 3.0 pods last?
Six to eight refills by Vaporesso’s lab figure, usually one to two weeks.
Are COREX 3.0 pods only for the XROS 3?
No. COREX 3.0 is the coil generation, not a device. The 0.6Ω fits every XROS Vaporesso lists.
How many pods are in a pack?
Four.
