Description
iJoy DM-DM Coils: 0.15 Ohm Diamond Tank Coils
The iJoy DM-DM coils are 0.15Ω heads rated 40–90W: the spare coil iJoy packed with its Diamond Subohm Tank. DM-DM is iJoy’s diamond-like coil. Its porous, densely arranged heating element is wicked with organic fibre cotton.
It is not a mesh coil. The Diamond tank shipped with two heads, and the mesh one is its sibling, the DM-Mesh, which came fitted with a flax and wood pulp wick. Both run at the same resistance and wattage, but they are different coils.

DM-DM vs DM-Mesh: iJoy Diamond Coils Compared
The Diamond Subohm Tank came with two 0.15Ω heads:
| Coil | Resistance | Wattage | Heating element and wick |
|---|---|---|---|
| DM-DM (this pack) | 0.15Ω | 40–90W | Diamond-like element, organic fibre cotton |
| DM-Mesh (fitted in the tank) | 0.15Ω | 40–90W | Mesh, 70% flax fibre and 30% wood pulp |

Which Tanks Do iJoy DM-DM Coils Fit?
iJoy lists the DM-DM for the Diamond Subohm Tank, which came with one in the box.
The Diamond Subohm Tank is the 25mm iJoy tank with faceted, diamond-cut sleeves, a coloured bubble glass and a 180° screw-cap top fill. It shipped with a DM-Mesh fitted and a DM-DM spare. iJoy also lists the DM coils for the tank in its Diamond Mini kit; that kit came in more than one version, so bring yours in if you’re unsure.
iJoy’s coil chart for the Diamond tank lists the Captain X3 range as well, so our iJoy X3 coils are an alternative head for the same tank.
Will not fit: the Diamond Baby, which uses its own DMB coils. Some shops list DM coils for the Captain X3, Katana or Avenger tanks too, but iJoy doesn’t, so we can’t confirm those.
How to Fit and Prime iJoy DM-DM Coils
- Empty the Diamond tank and unscrew the base section.
- Remove the old head and wipe any liquid out of the base.
- Drip a few drops of e-liquid into the top of the new DM-DM and onto the cotton showing through its side ports.
- Fit the coil firmly into the base, rebuild the tank, give the top cap a 180° turn and fill.
- Wait ten minutes before firing, then begin at the bottom of the 40–90W range.
How Long Does an iJoy DM-DM Coil Last?
iJoy says organic fibre cotton holds plenty of e-juice and keeps the original taste, but it doesn’t put a number on coil life. At 0.15Ω and 60W or more, expect roughly one to two weeks of daily vaping; heavy, sweet liquids gum up the element sooner. When the flavour flattens or the vapour tastes scorched, fit a fresh head.
DM-DM Coil Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Harsh first puffs | The coil wasn’t primed, or the power was too high. Soak the next one for ten minutes and start at 50W. |
| Muted flavour at low power | A 0.15Ω coil needs power; below 50W it can taste flat. Step it up. |
| Liquid in the airflow slots | The coil may not be fully seated. Reseat it, and store the tank upright when it’s full. |
Best E-Liquids for iJoy DM-DM Coils
This is a big-cloud coil. High-VG shortfill e-liquids at 70/30 or 80/20, with a nic shot for about 3mg, are what it’s made for; at this power even 6mg can feel strong. Nic salts and higher-strength 10ml e-liquids belong in a mouth-to-lung kit instead.
