VOOPOO PnP X Cartridge MTL: A Tighter PnP X Pod for Two Coils
The VOOPOO PnP X Cartridge MTL is the mouth-to-lung version of the PnP X empty pod. It’s sold without a coil, and unlike the DTL version it’s picky about which one you fit: VOOPOO says it takes only the PnP X 0.3Ω and PnP X 0.6Ω. Other PnP X resistances are not supported, even though they physically look the same.
What it adds is a replaceable 510 drip tip, so you can run a narrow MTL tip or swap to a wider one. The airflow still comes from the top through a 360° ring with a scale line. Here’s how the two supported coils compare, and how to set the pod up.

The Two Coils the MTL Cartridge Takes
VOOPOO’s spec for the MTL cartridge names two coils. Its platform chart is looser, but the product listing is explicit, so we follow it:

Which Devices Does the PnP X Cartridge MTL Fit?
VOOPOO lists the PnP X cartridges for the Drag S2 and Drag X2, and its PnP X platform chart adds the Argus Pro 2 and Doric 60 Pro.
The VOOPOO Drag S2 Pod Kit and VOOPOO Drag X2 Pod Kit are the two devices VOOPOO names on the cartridge itself, and both take PnP X cartridges on a magnetic connection. VOOPOO’s PnP X platform chart also lists the Argus Pro 2 and Doric 60 Pro.
In any of them, remember this pod only runs the PnP X 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω. If you want other PnP X resistances, use the PnP X Cartridge DTL.
For a 510 mod, the same two coils go in the VOOPOO PnP X Pod Tank MTL.
Will not fit: the Drag X Plus Pro or Argus XT – VOOPOO doesn’t confirm either for this cartridge. Original PnP coils (VM, TW, TR and the rest) don’t fit PnP X cartridges. In this pod, don’t fit the PnP X 0.15Ω, 0.2Ω, 0.45Ω, 0.8Ω or 1.0Ω.
Setting Up the PnP X MTL Cartridge
- Take the pod off the device and push in a PnP X 0.6Ω or 0.3Ω coil. It goes in one way only and should sit flush with the base.
- Fit the 510 drip tip you want – the MTL tip for a tight draw.
- Fill through the side plug to about two-thirds, following VOOPOO’s priming advice.
- Close the plug and leave the pod five minutes before the first puff.
- Set the top airflow ring using the scale line, and start at the bottom of the coil’s wattage range.
How Long Does a Pod Last?
Coils wear and the pod doesn’t, so a single MTL cartridge should see you through many coils. On the 0.6Ω at MTL wattage, our customers typically get well over a week per coil – VOOPOO promotes PnP X coils for long life, while noting that lab data doesn’t always match everyday use. Retire the pod if it cracks, clouds badly or the side plug stops sealing.
PnP X MTL Troubleshooting

Choosing a Drip Tip
Because this pod takes a standard-fit PnP X 510 drip tip, you can change the feel of the draw without changing the pod. The VOOPOO PnP X 510 MTL drip tip keeps the draw narrow for MTL, while the PnP X 510 DTL drip tip opens it up if you run the 0.3Ω for RDL.

VOOPOO rates the MTL cartridge for 50–70% VG and allows higher nicotine than the DTL version, so UK-strength nic salts at 10mg or 20mg are a good match for the 0.6Ω. On the 0.3Ω, use 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids at a lower strength.
