VOOPOO PnP X Pod Tank MTL: A 510 Tank for Nic Salts

The VOOPOO PnP X Pod Tank MTL is the mouth-to-lung PnP X tank on a 510 threaded base. VOOPOO lists it for all 510 base mods and names just two coils for it: the PnP X 0.3Ω and PnP X 0.6Ω. The other PnP X resistances aren’t supported in this tank.

It comes to you without a coil and adds a replaceable PnP X 510 drip tip, so you can run a narrow MTL tip for a tight draw or a wider one when you want more air. Fill it from the side and set the draw on the 360° top airflow ring. On a Drag S2 or X2, use the magnetic PnP X Cartridge MTL instead.

Which Mods Does the PnP X Pod Tank MTL Fit?

VOOPOO lists it for all 510 base mods. Both of its coils run below 40W, so it suits compact mods as well as big dual-battery ones.

You don’t need a big mod for MTL. The Eleaf Mini iStick 20W covers the bottom of the 0.6Ω’s 18–23W window, the Innokin Coolfire Z80 NEX runs both coils comfortably, and the Geekvape Aegis Solo 3 gives you headroom for the 0.3Ω at 32–40W.

Will not fit: magnetic PnP X devices such as the Drag S2 and Drag X2 – they take the PnP X Cartridge. In this tank, don’t fit the PnP X 0.15Ω, 0.2Ω, 0.45Ω, 0.8Ω or 1.0Ω, and original PnP coils don’t fit at all.

Setting Up the PnP X Pod Tank MTL

1. Unscrew the tank and push a PnP X 0.6Ω or 0.3Ω coil into the base until it’s flush.
2. Fit the 510 drip tip you want – the MTL tip for a tight draw.
3. Fill through the side plug to about two-thirds and close it.
4. Leave it five minutes so the wick is fully soaked.
5. Screw it onto your mod, close the airflow ring most of the way and start at the bottom of the coil’s range.

How Long Does a Coil Last in the Pod Tank MTL?

At MTL wattage a PnP X coil runs cooler than it would in the DTL tank, so it tends to last longer; VOOPOO quotes up to 100ml of e-liquid per coil, with everyday results varying. Sweet liquids clog coils fastest. The tank should outlast many coils – retire it if the pod cracks or the plug no longer seals.

Swapping the Drip Tip

The MTL Pod Tank takes a standard PnP X 510 drip tip, so you can change the feel of the draw without changing the tank. The VOOPOO PnP X 510 MTL drip tip keeps the draw narrow for the 0.6Ω.
