Propylene Glycol is the thinner of the two e-liquid bases and the one that carries flavour. It is a clear, odourless, almost tasteless liquid that wicks quickly and delivers the sharper throat hit that ex-smokers tend to want.

What PG Does in a Mix

PG carries flavour and throat hit rather than vapour. Raise the PG and the taste gets sharper and the draw firmer; raise the VG instead and you get more vapour and a softer inhale. Because PG is thin it wicks freely, which is why 50/50 is the standard for pods and MTL vape kits.

Handling and Storage

Store it sealed, away from heat and direct sunlight. PG is a mild preservative and keeps well, but it is also a solvent — it will lift the print off some labels and soften certain plastics, so keep it in the bottle it came in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PG and VG?

PG is thin, carries flavour and gives a sharper throat hit; VG is thick, produces vapour and feels softer. Most e-liquids blend both.

Can I vape 100% PG?

It is possible but harsh, and it produces almost no vapour. It is normally blended with VG.

Why does PG make my throat dry?

PG is hygroscopic and draws in moisture, which is why high-PG liquids can feel drying. Drinking more water usually settles it; if it does not, a higher-VG mix is the answer.

Does it contain nicotine?

No. It is a base liquid only.

Is a PG sensitivity common?

A genuine sensitivity is uncommon, but it does happen. A high-VG blend is the usual alternative.
