VOOPOO Argus Pods: The Top Fill Cartridge for the Argus Pod Family
These VOOPOO Argus pods are the Argus Top Fill Cartridge, three to a pack, with the coil built into every cartridge. VOOPOO describes it as compatible with all Argus Pod Family devices, and it replaced the older side-fill Argus cartridge with a simpler fill from the top.
We sell it in two resistances, 0.7Ω and 0.4Ω, and they are not equally at home in every Argus. The 0.4Ω needs a 30W Argus, so check the fitment notes below before you order it. Wattage, filling and pod life follow.

Argus Top Fill Cartridge Resistances and Wattage
VOOPOO publishes a wattage window for each Top Fill resistance. Stay inside it and the cartridge lasts longer and tastes cleaner. VOOPOO also makes a 1.0Ω version, which we don’t currently list.

Which Argus Devices Does the Top Fill Cartridge Fit?
VOOPOO lists the Top Fill Cartridge for the Argus P2 and Argus G2 and says it works with all Argus Pod Family devices. The 0.7Ω also appears on the cartridge charts for the Argus P1, P1s, G, Argus Pod and Argus Pod SE.
The cartridge is part of VOOPOO’s Argus Pod Family system. VOOPOO names the Argus P2 and Argus G2 on the cartridge listing and says it suits every Argus pod device – with the one catch that the 0.4Ω needs 30W, which rules out the P1, P1s, G, Pod and Pod SE. Not sure which Argus you have? The model name is printed on the device.
Will not fit: the 0.4Ω in the Argus P1, Argus P1s, Argus G, Argus Pod or Argus Pod SE. VOOPOO says it is only for Argus pod devices with 30W output. The cartridge isn’t listed for the Argus X or Argus GT mods, and VOOPOO doesn’t list the Argus A for it either.
How to Fill an Argus Top Fill Cartridge
- Lift the cartridge off the device – it is held by magnets.
- Open the fill port on the top of the cartridge.
- Fill slowly with the cartridge upright, stopping a little short of the top.
- Close the port firmly, wipe away any drips and click the cartridge back onto the magnets.
- VOOPOO doesn’t give a soak time, but we’d leave a new cartridge a few minutes before the first puff so the cotton is fully wet.
How Long Does a Pod Last?
VOOPOO rates the Top Fill coil well in its own lab tests and notes that real use varies. In the shop, most Argus owners get one to two weeks from each cartridge on nic salts – longer on the 0.7Ω at the low end of its range, shorter on the 0.4Ω at 30W. Very sweet liquids coat the coil faster. With three to a pack, one box usually lasts three to six weeks. Swap the cartridge when the flavour dulls or turns burnt.
Argus Cartridge Troubleshooting

| Flavour fading | The coil is worn. The coil can’t be changed on its own, so fit a fresh cartridge. |
Top Fill Cartridge vs the Older Argus Pod Cartridge
VOOPOO’s first Argus cartridge filled from the side and came in a 1.2Ω version. The Top Fill Cartridge replaced it with a top fill, a tougher leak-proofing design and the 0.4Ω/0.7Ω/1.0Ω set of resistances – there is no 1.2Ω Top Fill. VOOPOO’s comparison chart rates it at 30 days leak-proof against 20 days for its other cartridges. There is also a later V2 version with a blue bottom cover, sold for the Argus G3.
Best E-Liquids for These Pods
With the 0.7Ω, nic salts at 10mg or 20mg are the natural fit, and 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids works too.
