Description
Sakerz Coils: HorizonTech 0.16 and 0.4 Ohm Mesh
Sakerz coils are HorizonTech’s mesh heads for the Sakerz and Sakerz Master tanks. We stock two, the 0.16Ω mesh rated at 70W and the 0.4Ω mesh rated at 40W, in packs of three.
They aren’t interchangeable in every tank. HorizonTech pairs the original Sakerz tank with the 0.16Ω and the 0.17Ω 2-in-1 mesh; the 0.4Ω appears only on its Sakerz Master page. Check which tank you have before you choose a resistance.

🔌 HorizonTech Sakerz Coils
✔ Three coils per pack
✔ 0.16Ω mesh, 70W
✔ 0.4Ω mesh, 40W

✔ 0.16Ω: Sakerz and Sakerz Master
✔ 0.4Ω: confirmed for the Sakerz Master
Sakerz Coils: 0.16 vs 0.4 Ohm
HorizonTech makes three Sakerz heads, and we stock the first and last:
| Coil | Rated power | Tanks HorizonTech lists | Best with |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.16Ω mesh | 70W | Sakerz, Sakerz Master | Big clouds from high-VG shortfills |
| 2-in-1 mesh 0.17Ω (not stocked) | 70W | Sakerz, Sakerz Master | – |
| 0.4Ω mesh | 40W | Sakerz Master | Our pick for smaller mods and longer tank life |

Which Tanks Do Sakerz Coils Fit?
HorizonTech lists Sakerz coils for two tanks: the Sakerz and the Sakerz Master.
The Sakerz tank shipped with the 0.16Ω mesh fitted and the 0.17Ω 2-in-1 as a spare, with adjustable airflow that HorizonTech describes as a quieter, soothing draw. The Sakerz Master followed with a diamond-cut finish, double-side airflow and all three coil options, the 0.4Ω included. We don’t currently sell either tank, but we keep the coils for existing owners.
Will not fit: the Falcon or Aquila tanks, which use their own heads (see our Falcon F1 coils and HorizonTech Aquila coils). HorizonTech doesn’t confirm the 0.4Ω for the original Sakerz tank, so we steer original Sakerz owners to the 0.16Ω.

How to Fit and Prime Sakerz Coils
- Empty the tank and unscrew the base.
- Lift the used coil out with the coil tool that came with the tank.
- Drip e-liquid onto the new coil’s cotton, then press it into the chamber.
- Check every O-ring is sitting properly and screw the base back on.
- Fill, leave it five to ten minutes, and start low: 60W for the 0.16Ω, 35W for the 0.4Ω.
How Long Does a Sakerz Coil Last?
HorizonTech calls its wood pulp cotton mesh durable, but gives no lifespan. The 0.4Ω at 40W generally lasts longer than the 0.16Ω at 70W, because it runs cooler and uses less liquid. Change either one when the taste turns flat or scorched.
Sakerz Coil Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
| The 0.4Ω tastes burnt | It’s rated for 40W, not 70W. Keep it at 35–40W. |
| Coil hard to remove | Use the coil tool from the tank kit rather than pliers. |
| Leaking after a coil change | An O-ring has shifted. HorizonTech’s steps say to check them all before closing the base. |
Best E-Liquids for Sakerz Coils
Both are sub-ohm mesh coils. The 0.16Ω wants thick 70/30 shortfill e-liquids at about 3mg. The 0.4Ω at 40W handles slightly thinner liquid, so a 50/50 10ml e-liquid at 3mg or 6mg works too. Nic salts don’t suit either coil.

Yes. Every Sakerz head HorizonTech makes is a mesh coil.
How many coils are in a pack?
Three, all the same resistance.
What coils are compatible with Sakerz tanks?
HorizonTech’s Sakerz heads: the 0.16Ω mesh and 0.17Ω 2-in-1 mesh for both tanks, plus the 0.4Ω mesh for the Sakerz Master.
