The Odan was built around flavour rather than cloud size, and the mesh coil is the reason. A mesh strip has far more surface area in contact with the wick than a round coil, so it comes up to temperature evenly and does not leave the hot-spot taste that kills a round-wire build.

What It Is Built For

This resistance is made for sub-ohm direct-to-lung vaping — a warm, airy draw and plenty of vapour. Use a shortfill at 70/30 or higher. High-strength nic salts are not suitable at this resistance.

When To Change It

35-45W is gentle by sub-ohm standards, so these last well – two weeks or more is common. Change it when the flavour flattens rather than waiting for a burnt taste.

Getting the Most From a Coil

Fill, then wait five minutes before the first draw. The single biggest cause of a coil dying early is firing it before the wick has taken up liquid.
