SMOK V8 X-Baby Q2 Coils: 0.4 Ohm for the TFV8 X-Baby
The SMOK V8 X-Baby Q2 coil is the 0.4Ω dual-coil head SMOK fitted as standard in the TFV8 X-Baby tank. SMOK describes a deep, rich cloud taste and rates it 40–70W, best at 50–60W. Packs are three coils.
The X-Baby Q2 and the V8 Baby Q2 share a name and a resistance, which is exactly why they get mixed up. They are different parts: the X-Baby coil is built for the X-Baby tank only. Our old SEO title for this page even called it a T6 – that’s another X-Baby coil, and it has been corrected.

What Does the X-Baby Q2 Fit?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists the V8 X-Baby coil series – the Q2, X4, T6, M2 and RBA – for one product: the TFV8 X-Baby tank. No other SMOK tank or kit appears against these coils.
We don’t sell the X-Baby tank or a kit with it, so these coils are for owners. The other X-Baby coil we stock is the SMOK V8 X-Baby X4.
Will not fit: any TFV8 Baby, Big Baby or TFV12 Baby Prince (those take V8 Baby cores), the TFV8 Baby V2 / TFV Mini V2, or the full-size TFV8.
How to Fit and Prime an X-Baby Q2
- Empty the X-Baby and unscrew it from the mod, then unscrew the base.
- Remove the old Q2 from the base.
- Prime both coils through the wicking holes and add a drop down the top.
- Screw the new Q2 in, reassemble and top fill.
- Wait five minutes and begin at 45W.
How Long Does an X-Baby Q2 Coil Last?
Dual coils at 50–60W are a moderate load, so the Q2 tends to last longer than lower-resistance X-Baby heads – typically one to two weeks. SMOK doesn’t publish a figure.
