SMOK TFV Mini V2 A3 Coils: 0.15 Ohm Triple Coil
The SMOK TFV Mini V2 A3 coil puts three separate heating coils inside one head. SMOK explains that the three fire together while the tank’s three wide airflow slots feed them, which is how it gets its thick vapour. Resistance is 0.15Ω, and SMOK’s range is 80–130W, best at 100–120W.
The old copy here described a single-mesh S2 coil at 80–130W – a mix of two different coils. To be clear: the A3 is the triple coil; the S2 is a quadruple coil for low wattage, and the S1 is the single mesh. The A3 is also available in gold and 7-colour finishes from SMOK.

Which Tanks and Kits Take the A3?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists the Mini V2 series for the TFV Mini V2 tank and for four kits: the Stick V9, Stick V9 Max, R-Kiss and Species. SMOK publishes an identical list for its Baby V2 series, because the TFV Mini V2 is the TFV8 Baby V2 tank under a new name.
Owners of the Stick V9 or Stick V9 Max will usually find the A3 more power than their battery was designed for; SMOK built the S1 and S2 for those. On a high-wattage box mod, the A3 and A1 come into their own.
Will not fit: the original TFV8 Baby, TFV8 Big Baby, TFV8 X-Baby or full-size TFV8. The V8 Baby coils for those tanks are shorter, and V8 Baby coils don’t fit a Mini V2 tank either.
How to Fit and Prime a Mini V2 A3
- Drain the tank, take it off the mod and remove the base.
- Unscrew the used A3 from the base.
- Wet all three wicking areas and drip e-liquid down the chimney of the new head.
- Screw it in, reassemble, and fill from the top.
- Wait five minutes, then fire a few short puffs at 80W before going up to 100W.
How Long Does a Mini V2 A3 Coil Last?
Three coils share the work, so at 100W the A3 holds up reasonably well for a coil this powerful, though it drinks e-liquid. No SMOK figure. Replace it when the vapour stays dense but the flavour goes flat.
Mini V2 A3 Troubleshooting
