SMOK TFV Mini V2 A1 Coils: 0.17 Ohm Single Coil
The SMOK TFV Mini V2 A1 coil is a single, very large 0.17Ω heating element – SMOK’s words are a ‘super large heating area’ – built for high power. SMOK rates it at 90–140W, best at 110–130W. It comes in plain steel, and SMOK also made gold and 7-colour versions.
Our previous description of this page was wrong: it described the A2, SMOK’s dual-mesh 0.2Ω coil, with the A2’s wattage. The A1 is a single coil, and it runs hotter than anything else in the Mini V2 range. If you were expecting a dual mesh, you want the SMOK TFV Mini V2 A2 coils.

The three A-series coils are all high-power coils. SMOK’s figures:

What Does the Mini V2 A1 Coil Fit?
SMOK’s compatibility table lists the Mini V2 series for the TFV Mini V2 tank and for four kits: the Stick V9, Stick V9 Max, R-Kiss and Species. SMOK publishes an identical list for its Baby V2 series, because the TFV Mini V2 is the TFV8 Baby V2 tank under a new name.
We don’t sell a Mini V2-compatible kit or tank at the moment, so these coils are for owners. All five Mini V2 coils we stock fit the same tank: the A2, A3, S1 and S2 as well as this A1.
Will not fit: the original TFV8 Baby, TFV8 Big Baby, TFV8 X-Baby or full-size TFV8. The V8 Baby coils for those tanks are shorter, and V8 Baby coils don’t fit a Mini V2 tank either.
How to Fit and Prime a Mini V2 A1
- Empty the tank and unscrew it from your mod, then unscrew the base.
- Unscrew the old coil. The A1’s wicking ports are large, so you can see the cotton clearly.
- Soak the cotton through each port and add a few drops down the centre.
- Screw the new coil into the base finger-tight, rebuild the tank and fill it through the top cap.
- Leave it for five minutes, then take a few puffs at 90W before moving up.
How Long Does a Mini V2 A1 Coil Last?
At 110–130W this coil burns through e-liquid and cotton quickly, so it has a shorter life than the low-wattage S-series coils in the same tank. SMOK doesn’t publish a figure. Sweet e-liquids caramelise fastest at this heat; a clean fruit or menthol lasts longest.
Mini V2 A1 Troubleshooting

Only high-VG freebase at low strength belongs in a 110W+ coil: a 70% VG shortfill e-liquid with a nicotine shot at 3mg. Don’t use nic salts at this power.
