Kangertech Dual Coil Units: Replacement Heads for Protank 3 and Aerotank
These Kangertech dual coil units are the classic two-coil heads for Kanger’s Protank 3, Mini Protank 3 and Aerotank, sold in packs of five. Kanger called them its upgraded dual coil: two coils in one head, with a stainless steel wrap.
Kanger no longer makes or lists these coils, so we’ve limited this page to what Kanger’s own archived pages confirm, and said clearly where a claim comes only from retailers.

Kangertech Dual Coil Resistances
Kanger’s archived Aerotank page lists the dual coil in 1.2Ω and 1.8Ω, with the 1.8Ω made of two 3.6Ω coils. We stock the 1.8Ω and 1.5Ω.

Which Tanks Take Kangertech Dual Coils?
Kanger’s archived pages confirm the Aerotank and Aerotank 2, the Protank 3 and the Mini Protank 3, whose heads Kanger says are interchangeable with the Protank 3 and Aerotank.
All of these are discontinued, and we don’t sell a tank that takes these heads. UK retailers also list the Evod 2, Evod Glass, Evod Mega and Genitank, but Kanger’s own pages don’t, so we can’t promise those. Match the new head to your old one before you buy.
How to Fit and Prime a Kanger Dual Coil
- Empty the tank and unscrew the old head from the base.
- Drip a few drops of liquid into the head’s top and wicking holes.
- Screw in the new head, reassemble and fill.
- Wait five minutes before your first puff.
How Long Does a Kanger Dual Coil Last?
Kanger never published a figure. At low power, a week or two is typical; replace it when the taste fades.
