Freemax Mesh Pro Coils: Single, Double, Triple and Quad Mesh
Freemax Mesh Pro coils are Freemax’s Kanthal mesh coils for its Mesh Pro, Fireluke and M Pro family of sub-ohm tanks, three to a pack. We list four – single, double, triple and quad mesh – covering 40W to 120W.
More mesh means more heating surface, so each step up wants more power and gives more vapour. Our listing used to call these simply Freemax replacement coils for "the Freemax tank". Below, we’ve named the tanks they fit, and the Freemax tanks they don’t.

Mesh Pro Coil Wattage by Type
Freemax’s current site lists the family but not the individual ratings, so these are the ratings printed on each coil’s box. All four use Kanthal (KA1) mesh.

Which Tanks Take Freemax Mesh Pro Coils?
UK stockists list them for the Freemax Mesh Pro, Fireluke and Fireluke Pro, and the M Pro 2 and M Pro 3. Freemax’s own coil page lists its single-to-quintuple M Pro mesh family for the M Pro, M Pro 2 and M Pro 3.
We don’t currently stock a Freemax tank, so this pack is for existing Mesh Pro, Fireluke and M Pro owners. Our Freemax range shows what we carry.
Will not fit: the Fireluke Mesh, Fireluke M, Fireluke 2 or Fireluke 3 – Freemax lists other coils for those, including its X Mesh range for the Fireluke 2, 3, 4 and M.
How to Fit and Prime a Mesh Pro Coil
- Take the tank off your mod and empty it.
- Remove the old coil from the base.
- Wet the cotton through the new coil’s wicking holes with a few drops of e-liquid, and add a drop to the top.
- Fit the new coil, reassemble the tank and fill it.
- Wait about five minutes, then start at the bottom of the coil’s range and work up in 5W steps.
How Long Does a Mesh Pro Coil Last?
Freemax makes its cotton from 90% flax fibre (wood pulp) and 10% Japanese organic cotton. Coils run at this kind of power still work hard, though: sweet e-liquids and vaping at the top of the range shorten them. Change the coil when the flavour drops off.
Mesh Pro Coil Troubleshooting

| Dry hits on the triple or quad | The liquid can’t keep up, or the wattage is too high. Use a 70% VG or higher liquid and drop 10W. |
| Spitting | The wattage is too low for the mesh. Go up 5W at a time. |
| Harsh and hot | The nicotine is too strong for this power. Use 3mg. |
| The coil won’t fit your Fireluke | The Fireluke Mesh, M, 2 and 3 take different Freemax coils. |
Best E-Liquids for Mesh Pro Coils
These are high-power direct-lung coils, so use a 70% VG or higher freebase at 3mg: a shortfill e-liquid topped up with a nicotine shot is the usual choice. Nic salts are far too strong at 40W and above.
