The AF mesh coil for the Aspire Flexus pod range, in 0.6ohm and 1.0ohm. Mesh rather than round wire, which heats more evenly and gives a cleaner flavour from the first pull.

Two resistances covers two quite different vapes from the same kit: 1.0ohm for a tight cigarette-like draw on nic salts, 0.6ohm for something looser and warmer on a lower strength. It is worth having both in the drawer rather than settling on one.

What It Is Built For

This resistance is made for restricted direct-to-lung vaping — a draw between a cigarette pull and a full sub-ohm inhale. Suits 50/50 liquids and lower-strength shortfills equally.

When To Change It

Mesh gives plenty of warning – flavour dulls gradually rather than failing suddenly. A week or two is normal, less on sweet liquids.

Getting the Most From a Coil

Match the resistance to the nicotine: 1.0ohm with a 10mg or 20mg salt, 0.6ohm with something weaker. A 20mg salt through a 0.6ohm coil is harsh rather than harmful, but you will not enjoy it.
