VOOPOO Vmate Pods: The Vmate Top Fill Cartridge
These VOOPOO Vmate pods are the Vmate Top Fill Cartridge: a clear cartridge with the coil built in, which you fill from the top without taking it out of the device. VOOPOO says it fits the whole Vmate Pod Family, from the original Vmate Infinity Edition to the Vmate MAX2 and PRO2.
We currently have the 0.7Ω in stock – the resistance with no special power requirement, so it runs in any Vmate. Below: VOOPOO’s wattage for each Top Fill resistance, the full list of devices, and how this cartridge differs from the older side-fill Vmate pods.

Vmate Top Fill Resistances
VOOPOO makes the Top Fill Cartridge in three resistances. Each has its own wattage window and vaping style:

Which Vmate Devices Does It Fit?
VOOPOO lists the Top Fill Cartridge for the Vmate Pod Family: Vmate MAX2, Vmate PRO2, Vmate i3, Vmate MAX, Vmate E2, Vmate E, Vmate PRO Power Edition, Vmate PRO, V.THRU Pro, Vmate i2 and Vmate Infinity Edition.
Any Vmate from VOOPOO’s Vmate Pod Family takes this cartridge, from the original Vmate Infinity Edition and Vmate E to the newer Vmate MAX2, PRO2 and i3. With the 0.7Ω you don’t need to check your device’s power first; only the 0.4Ω needs a 30W Vmate.
Will not fit: the 0.4Ω version on a Vmate that can’t reach 30W. VOOPOO confirms 30W on the Vmate i2, Vmate MAX and Vmate PRO Power Edition; check your device before buying a 0.4Ω. The 0.7Ω we stock has no such limit.
How to Fill a Vmate Top Fill Cartridge
- Leave the cartridge in the device – VOOPOO designed it so you don’t have to remove it.
- Lift the fill flap on the top of the cartridge.
- Fill slowly, watching the level through the clear body, and stop a little short of the top.
- Press the flap closed all the way round.
- On a new cartridge, give it a few minutes to soak before the first puff. VOOPOO doesn’t publish a soak time; this is our advice.
How Long Does a Pod Last?
VOOPOO doesn’t publish a lifespan figure we can quote for this cartridge. From the shop, most Vmate users get around a week or a little more from each one on nic salts. Lower wattage and less sweet liquids stretch it; running the 0.4Ω near 30W shortens it. When the flavour dulls, fit a fresh cartridge – the coil can’t be replaced on its own.
Vmate Cartridge Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and fix |

| Leaking from the top | The fill flap isn’t fully pressed down. Seat it all the way round. |
| Cartridge not recognised | Clean the gold contacts on the cartridge and in the device, then snap it back in. |
| 0.4Ω will not fire | Your Vmate doesn’t reach 30W. Use the 0.7Ω. |
| Spitting | Flick the cartridge into a tissue and take softer draws. |
| Burnt or flat taste | Check the wattage is inside the band in the table. If it’s been a week or more, the coil is done. |

VOOPOO says every Vmate cartridge generation fits the Vmate Pod Family. The 1.2Ω Vmate pod you may have seen is the older side-fill V2 – it isn’t made in a Top Fill version.
Best E-Liquids for These Pods
With the 0.7Ω, use nic salts at 10mg or 20mg, or 50/50 freebase from our 10ml e-liquids. If you move to the 0.4Ω on a 30W Vmate, VOOPOO recommends freebase – go lower on strength, as the extra vapour delivers more per puff. Our guide to nic salts vs freebase explains the difference.
