DTL vaping involves inhaling vapour directly into your lungs for bigger clouds and a smoother, warmer hit. These sub-ohm devices use low-resistance coils (below 1.0 ohm) and higher wattage to vapourise thicker e-liquids, making them the ideal partner for shortfill e-liquids in 70/30 or 80/20 VG/PG ratios. Lower nicotine strengths (3mg–6mg freebase) work best with DTL setups due to the increased vapour production. Use our VG/PG calculator to check you’re using the right ratio, and our nic shot calculator to get the perfect nicotine strength when adding nic shots to your shortfills.
